Franklin D. Roosevelt The Economic Bill of Rights
We must keep up the quest for ever more fair and dignified societies as the writers of the constitution did by taking power away from a distant king taxing the population. In the 3rd millennium we must aim beyond giant corporations, today's unjust kings, killing the small business struggling under the corruption of capitalism. Adam Smith must be rolling in his grave. Economic equality is the most noble goal for the next great society of the world combined with, in the age of the internet, a much greater democratic participation by all citizens on a greater variety of issues important to all, everything from education to national defense.
In the age of the internet, people rather than leaders, should take more responsibility for solving society's problems democratically through a secure voting method in their own homes.
Credit monitoring is unconstitutional, where in the constitution do credit bureaus have the right to monitor the masses spending habits? When did US citizens vote to have their private finances monitored by a faceless self appointed bureaucracy? Why do US citizens tolerate this intrusion and inconvenience in their lives? This is an issue that should be voted on at the very least but there never was one! In my opinion credit checking is an outrage, a violation of privacy, and should be eliminated as unlawful. There needs to be a class action lawsuit to punish and dismantle these amazingly invasive and manipulative organizations. Americans should not tolerate this abuse in their daily lives any longer.
Registering for voting should be done on the internet, even better voting should be done on the internet with an encrypted site and a password issued to the voter. Voting should take place more often whenever the need arises. More democracy creates a fairer society with happier citizens.
Pride is the mother of all evil: what can be done about it.
Capitalism is beginning to outlive its usefulness as economic system as it creates a divided society of rich and poor. 1% of a population buying elections and CEOs making 400 times the income of their average employee is an outrage and can not be tolerated! Communism of course is even worse as it unnaturally impoverishes an entire nation by making the population complacent. We need a new model for a global economy, one with economic equality, one where everyone can be rich from the wealth of human progress. A truly healthy society must eliminate greed but not eliminate progress. How this society can be achieved is the biggest challenge for the new millennium.
China and Greece gave us inventions and political systems millennia ago. Africa and Mexico produced pyramids, Italy Leonardo Da Vinci, England Adam Smith. The world that is most developed is the first world, which world is that?
Spanish people in the United States should run for president and senate, Latinos need representation at the top 2 levels of government in the next elections and should help break the cycle of unfairness plaguing this country for over two centuries. This should be obvious to anyone living in the US.
Citizens should stop being possessed by the greed the stock market thrives on and invest in their own real estate and small business. This is a way the money would be spent with wisdom enriching a family and town rather than empowering a distant CEO/ corporation that arrogantly and perversely would put that investor's home town and small business in jeopardy with unfair competition. Taking money out of public corporations will enrich us all in the long run, and is also safeguard for freedom, freedom from the possible tyranny of a plutocracy that would enslave us all.

Dreams of colonization began when Spain discovered America. The honor of a national language should therefore go to this great nation rather than to England who did not lay first claim to the New World. Second best would be a requirement of bilingualism Spanish and English for all American citizens and school children. If Switzerland can have four national languages the US can have two.
Sovereign and free nations should never forget that the United States created the United Nations, and the United Sates can destroy the United Nations if it so chooses.
There needs to be a carefully articulated amendment to the US constitution guaranteeing the right to privacy in finances and life in general. Technological advances must never be allowed to be used by any government agency to violate this right.
Film Distribution Comes To The Internet
No one has a crystal ball therefore preemptive attacks are like believing in fortune tellers or the tooth fairy and immoral.
The United Nations was not created to give orders to individual nations or people. The United Nations was created to facilitate diplomacy between sovereign nations which are now and should always be independent. Furthermore the concept of international law enforced by a world body is fundamentally undemocratic, unethical, and should be abandoned. Unless individual citizens of the nations of the world will participate in voting in honest elections for members and issues before a world body, that world body should not be given any powers above diplomacy. People who are appointed, be they judges or ambassadors, will never have the same moral authority as those people who are elected fairly and honestly.
Political parties focus on behavior, conservative and liberal, when politics should really focus on more practical matters of economics, science and development. Taking the focus away from a citizen's true needs makes politics less effective in solving the real problems of society.
" The use of the word minority to separate Americans is subtle racial abuse, offensive and un-American, yet you hear and read it everyday unchallenged, that needs to change."
Industry should be automated and will no doubt be the further we grow into the information age of software, computers, and robotics. This automation of industry will give humanity more freedom, dignity, leisure, moral contemplation, and may guarantee happiness. It is a worthy pursuit of current capitalistic societies and gives hope of greater democratic participation of citizens.
Americans should have learned long ago that striving to be the best in the world does not mean you rule the world, there is sadly some of this type of confusion throughout the United States. It must be the lower latitude temperatures that play tricks with their brains.
In the age of the internet we must question whether the idea of copyright still makes sense. We also must begin to question greed and exploitation.
There has never been a president who is black or Latino in the United States, yet the country claims to be a leader for democracy, a true leader is fair and is not afraid to share power.
An opinion piece from England on American greed.
I am a musician and I am here to say that nearly all music recorded by big labels in the past can now be produced with the same quality and with unprecedented global distribution through a studio and internet web site run by each individual musician. Click here to learn how to publish your music online. This means that record companies have become obsolete as have cds, tapes, albums, etc. This also means that all profit from a work of music or for that matter, any digital production, is for the benefit of that artist and him alone. All electronic industry and internet use has created a world where big media can no longer exist. It is only a matter of time now before the beasts of media die, thank God. Journalism, movies, art, and books can be produced by entrepreneurs with a small staff from a small or home office. This is the age we will live in for a very long time indeed.
In America race is politicized by the media every day, anyone not white is labeled a "minority" and automatically considered a second class citizen, this is not consistent with the nation's ideals and laws.
Arrogance has more to do with survival than pride, or for that matter true merit.
Hollywood unfairly promotes one ethnic group of people as the "ideal", I think people are not so naive as to believe this "make believe". There needs to be more "hollywoods" in Latin America, Asia, Europe, etc. Top quality movie production and distribution needs to be in the hands of any group who want to explore this art.
Equality is the future system for human society, we are all evolving towards that ideal. Poverty will not end until the rich voluntarily accept a redistribution of income and commit themselves to equality.

" Ask yourself, " Am I human first ? ", rather than I am white, brown, or black first? "
Being "white" or "black" is not an accurate description of a human being , you should ask rather is that person Swedish, Nigerian, Polish, Egyptian, British, Russian, South African etc. Anything less is a disservice to the particular ethnicity and sadly simplistic.
Wouldn't it be nice if all of life were like a weekend, if we can go to the moon, why can't we create a society like that?
